Pencils

Pencils are one of my favorite things to buy in a stationery store. The reason is that pencils are fun to use. Probably no one likes buying cement or peat moss or fertilizer for your lawn. Yuck! Sounds like work to me. But pencils! Now, that’s another matter altogether. And besides pencils, I like the things you can buy to use them with, namely, pads, notebooks, and drawing sketch books. Yes, there’s nothing like a day shopping at the local stationery store to brighten my mood. I think I like looking at all those blank notebooks most of all. The potential! The sheer unbridled potential of it! Makes me want to draw, doodle, write, and . . . use those pencils.
