Rain

O, torrents and sheets of rain! Rain in rivulets and streams. Rain on the left and rain on the right. Rain on my head, on my hands, on my feet, on my face. So much rain you cannot see, you cannot walk, you cannot breathe without inhaling the stuff and choking. Today it felt like we were in London. We used umbrellas, mackinaws, boots, and nose clips — all to no avail since we were drenched from head to toe and through and through. But the funny thing is we love rain and wouldn't have had it any other way.
