Cambodian Jungle Girl
Fifteen soldiers were walking along a single file through the Cambodian jungle. A young girl, seven years old, was watching from a straw hut three meters from the trail. There was a line of American troops wearing green fatigues. They also carried M-1 rifles and hand grenades. At any moment the girl might do something. She did not make a sound, however. The soldiers marched up the sandy single-file path. The heat was oppressive. They reached the tankless water heater.
Happy New Year

Welcome 2009 and Goodbye 2008. Well, I get excited when it's the end of the year because I can leave my bad memories from that year and bring the good ones for another year. But this year 2008 is not really a bad year for me. In fact, I accomplish a lot of things; not to mention, it's a secret... Shhhh. And I'm hoping that 2009 is my best year. It's the year of the Ox and some expert said that it's a lucky year for the people who were born in the year of the horse, and that's me. How I wish it will come true because I need it.

A Family Writer
Family blogs like this often suggest good books for family reading enjoyment. One that we heartily recommend is Women in Love by D.H. Lawrence.Lawrence was born in 1885 and was a middle child. His father was a coal miner and his mother a housewife. His family figured prominently in his early writing. Sons and Lovers (1913), his third novel, focuses on the close relationship he had with his mother. The coal mines also figure prominently in the book as Paul Morel's father works in the mines. The character of Miriam (Paul's girlfriend) is based on Jesse Chambers, who was Lawrence's girlfriend for many years. The novel offers a living portrait of the young Lawrence. Mr. Noon (1920) offers a similar portrait of Lawrence's relationship with his future wife, Frieda Weekley. She left her husband and three young children to run off with Lawrence. Their elopement suggests some of the magnetic attraction he had for women. He certainly put all he knew about relationships into his books, and they are quite unlike anything else in modern literature.
Lady Chatterly's Lover (1928) was banned for many years in the United States. Lawrence believed sexuality should be discussed openly, and his vocabulary was, in that book, rather direct and shocking for its day. Lawrence and his wife moved to warm climates in an attempt to deal with his tuberculosis. They lived for some time in Taos, New Mexico.
Hilton Holiday Savings in Branson

As a family-oriented blog, we strive to bring you news and info that you can use. Your next vacation may benefit from the info in this post. Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing is a wonderful resort. There are also vacation deals at the Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel. The attractions that appeal to us most in Branson, Missouri include Branson Landing, excursions to Celebration City, the Branson City Center, Lake Taneycomo (because of its trout fishing), excursions to Silver Dollar City, Table Rock Lake (we love boating), Tanger Outlet Mall (we love saving when shopping), and the Branson theater district (we love plays). All in all, we have to admit that the last time we visited Missouri we had a terrific time. We visited the University of Missouri in Columbia. We also went to the former site of the St. Louis Cardinals. We are baseball fans, of course. The Cardinals used to be one of our favorite teams, and we were sorry when they moved out of Missouri. We plan to stay at the Hilton Promenade and the Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel and also at Branson Landing on our next three trips. There are some fabulous holiday packages at the Hilton Promenade and the Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel . You can save quite a bit on a trip there. See you there!
New Years Resolution
My New Year's resolution is to spend my money wisely and save some for the future. I've noticed myself that I'm so extravagant this year. So, in order to reach my goal, I will minimize going to the mall. Oh boy, this is not going to be easy because our mall here is within walking distance only. I have to resist and limit myself from buying stuff that isn't really needed. I have to be smart between the wants and the basic needs or else my family will suffer. I know that I can do it when I put my mind and focus on it. Good luck to me!

Family Story about Croatian Lover
All the world loves a lover. This is more true today than when Shakespeare said it. The fact is, families and family blogs also love lovers. But they also know that all lovers need financial support. Such was the case with Alfonso. He came from Croatia and fell in love with a Manhattan girl. His father was a shipping magnate and the girl's father was a Paris fashion photographer. Both families relied on business insurance.

William Faulkner's Working Methods
Faulkner worked for a time in a post office. He was not attentive to his responsibilities. Instead he "would sit in a rocking chair with a writing arm attached, in the back of the post office, and was continuously writing. . . . Faulkner would pay no attention to them. They would rap on the counter with a coin to attract his attention, and finally he would begrudgingly get up to serve them."(Note 1.) This anecdote illustrates a small lesson for any writer to take home. Concentration is the key to getting work done. Let other cares pass you by when you write. If you can forget time and focus on your story, the work will progress at a more rapid pace than if you fritter away your time with inconsequential details -- such as fulfilling the obligations of your job. Naturally there needs to be source of income; but the true writer always favors his writing and gives precedence to it, whenever and wherever he can.Faulkner had another method of making progress with his work. He was not above imitating other writers to learn their methods. With his poetry, he imitated Housman, Algernon Charles Swinburne, Tennyson, and T.S. Eliot. The poetic styles he learned were also incorporated into his fiction. With his prose he also fell under the influence of Kipling, Conrad, Joyce, and Huxley, among others. (Note 2.)
He worked longhand, transcribing his work into a typescript, and then revising it as he reread the work. He would often cut and paste, moving huge chunks of material to different sections of the stories. (Note 3.) He was a dreamy boy, uninterested in athletics or school. His main interest was in self-expression.

Families as Memory Devices
The family is a memory device. This may seem paradoxical. But the family, if viewed as a memory device, is a very good one indeed. The grandparents recall things, such as the Great Depression, World War II and the Spanish-American War. The parents remember the Vietnam War, Nixon, and Kennedy. And the children remember Eminem, Tom Cruise and Johnny Depp. All these memories can be downloaded into a flash memory device, and then the memories of the family will become permanent digital records. Some day memories will be uploaded from digital devices to living beings.
Our New Singing Family Accountant
Now you can get accurate term life insurance rates from Wholesale Insurance. What does this mean to someone like an accountant? It means that your family and the entire network of friends that you have can enjoy a more wholesome business and family experience. Insurance can be obtained for an economical rate. Accountants like that. So do the families they serve. We are hiring an accountant who is a thirteen-year-old named Anna Southley. She is a young woman who has studied accounting for a number of years under the tutelage of her father, a well-known accountant who was related to Ben Franklin. Anna is also a fine alto tenor. We expect her to help us learn to sing. That is a family hobby. She will do our bookkeeping and then give us singing lessons. Then she will travel to Switzerland to live with her family. Her father has been hired by a Swiss bank. We plan to visit them in March 2009.
Wonderful Christmas and Hotel Stay
The family blog tradition required us to announce the following family news, which may help other families. This will help you organize your holidays. We spent our Christmas at the house of my sister-in-law. We had a great time of exchanging gifts after our lunch. We also played different games, like political satire. My daughter Kate received many gifts, more than us, to be honest. Then, we decided to stay overnight at the Holiday Inn hotel at Wappingers Falls, NY. I really loved it. It was cozy and beautiful. The message of this comment is simple. The American Dream is alive and well in New York. People who enjoy the holidays are partaking in the dream just as surely as people who enjoy the scenery in New England. This is a message of hope and peace. In a future post we will explain how to use self-hypnosis to improve your family. By the way, we plan to stay at the Mondrian Hotel in Los Angeles soon. (Photo: Mondrian Hotel in Los Angeles.)
Family Movie Night!
The family that plays together stays together, as this family blog has asserted time and again. And one of the most fun things to do together is go on vacation. This was a pastime in the eighteenth century. But the advent of film changed that and more people began staying home or going to the cinema. There is nothing wrong with this, as long as the family that watches a movie talks about it afterward. Otherwise you're just sitting in the dark. All Roads Lead Home The Movie. That is something that families might want to view. We always watch movies and then talk about them. This leads to good discussions. We like to talk. We enjoy talking movies. We are a big movie family. We enjoy all types of movies. We like comedies. We do not snack much. We eat dinner while watching films, however. Sometimes we order pizza. But most of all we like action films. That includes James Bond movies. We think it is important to watch movies with a message or theme. The action films we enjoy usually are more enjoyable if they have a theme. These include John Woo movies. We encourage you to view the trailer for "All Roads Lead Home The Movie" as a part of your family movie night tradition. Check this out today!

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas to all of my visitors here. Hoping that you have also a wonderful time with your family. Anyway, I'm so happy today because Santa granted my wishes. I was very surprised this morning when he told me that all my wishes were granted. I can hardly believe it. But it came true. So, I think I am going to faint. (More in a future post.)

Meaningful Gift Idea
The future of medicine, as this family blog has reported elsewhere, is with genetics. The fantastic discoveries of genetics include the fact that cord blood can be preserved. This allows the genetic material to be harvested. You can then do what are called genetic manipulation and multiplication with the cells. The genes are duplicated. They are then used to treat illness. This means the woman who preserves the genetic material through this method could help her blood relatives. There are numerous diseases that can be treated through this technology. Even more will become available in the future. A Cryo-Cell Web site explains the details. It also makes available the idea of an outside the box gift. You could give the gift to a friend or a family member who is expecting. They can then preserve their genetic material. U-Cord®, Cryo-Cell's stem cell cord blood preservation service is a novel gift idea. These services have been used to treat over seventy diseases and have been used in more than eight thousand transplants. Gift certificates are available in amounts starting at $50. You will be amazed at the marvels that genetics can bring to medicine. The DNA revolution has just begun. Scientists are working every day to push the envelope further. In the next decade the discoveries will be even more amazing. This is your chance to share in that exciting scientific revolution and help yourself at the same time. This is really a meaningful gift idea for Christmas. So, check Cryo-Cell today!

Christmas Shopping
Kate and I went Christmas shopping at the mall yesterday. I just got two items on my wish list. I walked around through the mall and developed some photos at the CVS store. I was trying to look foe a Chinese cookbook for my mother in-law but I got disappointed because I couldn't find it. I have still three more people on my list that I have to buy gifts. I got tired browsing in different stores, so I decided to go home. We headed back home. Unfortunately, when I got in the wind tunnel, the strong wind was pushing me hard down the street. I was so scared because Kate was with me and the stroller almost pulled out on my hand till one guy helped me to get through. I consider him as my angel on that day. I couldn't imagine what might have happened to us without the guy's help. Thank God! I will never ever forget my experience. I was shocked and nervous. Thank you, Lord, for protecting us from danger. I love you!
Online Dating
Today, this family blog will look at an exciting new way to meet people online. The technology is finally here to allow people from all over the world to meet and get together. These online dating sites are growing in numbers and in members every day. What this means is that it's now possible to make a date without leaving the privacy and comfort of your living room or office! Before you know it there will be even more dating services. The question is, how can you decide which dating service is right for you? Now there is a review service. It answers that question. It allows you to find out facts and figures about the dating service you might wish to use. It provides a helpful overview of the service. Some of the dating services are free and some are pay sites. But the use of the review site is free. It is recommended by this family blog. Zoomondating.com is a good way to survey the field. It will let you find out more about dating services. Then you can try them out. If you like them, you're all set. But if not, you can return to research another one to try. Good luck, and happy dating!
Too Much Tea
I had too much tea last week. I started drinking black tea. The tea was more powerful than the green tea I had been drinking. I always put two teabags into each cup and I had five or six cups per day, meaning I was getting up to twelve teabags worth of caffeine. After a few days I crashed. I have now stopped drinking tea. For a few days I felt terrible. When you stop drinking tea or caffeine it feels like a hangover. It's a terrible feeling. Maybe there's a way for me to get the benefit of tea without the caffeine. I will have to research that. Meanwhile, if you have any similar experience, please tell me in the comments.

Got a Wish
* * *
Hi Santa!

Kate had a great time with Santa yesterday. That was her first time sitting on the lap of Santa. It took us an hour to see Santa because it was a long line. It was fun and worth it to wait. First, we didn't think that we could make it because it was late. We went to Macy's in Manhattan around 8:00 pm. Then we ate dinner at the food court. We didn't really know that there was a Santa on the 8th floor until a couple at the next table told us. Actually there were twelve Santas, which made the line move faster. Ours was very nice and refused to accept the $5 tip that my husband offered.

Review Site for Wii Games
As the world knows, the family that plays together stays together. But how many families can truly say they understand the playing preferences of the other members of the family? In fact, parents are often at a loss when it comes to understanding what their children like in games, especially games like Nintendo Wii games. The latest answer to this age-old dilemma is a site that lets parents (and children of all ages) find out what the best Wii video games are all about. Then you can read and writer reviews. The site is http://wiigamereviews.pbwiki.com. The site allows users and readers to contribute, just as you can contribute to Wikipedia. The concept is gearerd to let you find information and contribute information about a wide variety of Wi games and onling playing experiences.

My Family

We just took this family photo today here in our living room with the Christmas tree in it. Our Christmas tree is a living tree because hubby was very concerned about buying a fake tree that might have lead in it. We tried to look in a few stores at the mall yesterday to get a Christmas tree without lead. But we were very disappointed. So we decided to buy the living tree that is short. It came with a stand affixed and instructions for keeping it lifelike. Hubby is taking about 65 vitamins a day to keep himself lifelike too.

Family Fun in New Hampshire
There is a lot of family fun to be had in New Hampshire. We know that the state is filled with lakes and mountains. What few people realize, however, is that it is also home to one of America's beloved writers, J.D. Salinger. Mr. Salinger moved to New Hampshire to get away from it all, specifically to get away from New York City, where he grew up. He moved to Cornish, New Hampshire in hopes of getting some much needed rest and relaxation. What even fewer people realize is that a terrific vacation might consist of making a trip up to Cornish . . . not to pay a visit to the reclusive writer (not recommended), but rather simply to see where he decided to spend his life.

Family Literature
All families come across literature when their children go to high school. When you have a writer in the family it gets even better. They come home raving about J.D. Salinger and The Catcher in the Rye. Of course that novel is set in New York City and it deals with a teenager who is psychotic. One of his friends is in severe need of acne treatments.
Hunter S. Thompson and Hotels
This family blog is dedicated to providing you with everything you need to know for a great family vacation. Anyone who has any literary interests has come across the writing of Hunter S. Thompson and his masterpiece, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. Probably that made you wonder about a vacation in Vegas. The book is set in various hotels in Las Vegas. A modern family wishing to visit the scene of the book might research on the Internet with the search phrase: hotels las vegas.
Memory Pillow
In order to review family products for this family blog, we bought a couple of memory foam pillows yesterday at Macy's. They were on sale 50% off; the regular price is $100. We took advantage of it. Then, we got another $25 discount because I had a coupon. The coupon is if you spend $100 or more, then you will get $25 off. Actually, the two pillows cost $99.98 so in order to reach the minimum purchase of $100 we included a bottle of water from Macy's. Hubby was very excited last night to sleep on it. In fact, he's still sleeping while I'm writing this post. It is almost 9:00 a.m. now. Oh, boy, maybe I have to wake him up so we can talk about the pillows and compare notes. That's pillow talk!

Dragon Naturally Speaking 10 Blogger Break Even Analysis with Average PayPerPost Earnings
Basically, Dragon NaturallySpeaking can help you type so much faster, that you can earn a lot more money per hour.
In this article I'm going to walk you through another scenario focusing on how much extra you could earn if you wrote for PayPerPost.com and you had a single average blog. Now at PayPerPost.com, the amount of money that you earn for your writing is not paid on a per word basis.
PayPerPost.com offers up opportunities, they call them opportunities, but you can also think of them as piecework or a job, and these "opportunities" typically have a minimum word count. The minimum word count is typically 200 words for your average article. In general the average article at PayPerPost on a high earning blog pays about $8.3. Sometimes they pay a little less, and sometimes they pay a little bit more, and a few go to extremes on the positive side.
Now if you are paid $8.3 to write a 200 word article, then that breaks down to about 4.2 cents per word. That is about 6 times more than what you can make at textbroker.com. I mentioned that only for comparison purposes, because PayPerPost.com limits you to writing three articles per blog per day.
That means that you cannot write at PayPerPost all day long for your single blog. (If you have additional blogs, you might be able to write additional articles on those other blogs.)
Tip! – You can write your three articles at PayPerPost, write some additional articles without any sponsors in between those articles (as is required), and then write some articles at PayU2Blog, and when the work is exhausted there, you can write some articles at TextBroker.com! The trick is working for the company that pays you the most first, then moving on to the next highest margin provider, over and over again.
You will see in the case studies with Adsense that writing MORE articles is actually good for building traffic to your blog!
But if we assume, just to have a comparison to our textbroker.com example, if we assume that you could type articles at PayPerPost for fifty minutes straight, earning 4.2 cents per word, and you could type 35 words per minute, you could earn $72.88 dollars per hour at PayPerPost. Now obviously, you cannot take 9 articles on a single blog in a single day, but this does point to the rate at which you can earn things with the work that is available. That $72.88 would be the earnings you could make from about 8.8 Opportunities at $8.3 per Opportunity.
So bear with me again with this example. :-)
So what can faster typing skills do to help you earn more money at PayPerPost?
Well if you could type at 150 words per minute with Dragon NaturallySpeaking, and you currently type at 35 words per minute, then you could earn about $239 per hour more! (Dragon only costs between $99 and $199 remember!)
Reminder - This would assume that you could type articles nonstop at a hundred and fifty words per minute for fifty minutes. For most of us, that doesn't mean a whole lot.
But to put this in better perspective, if you earned $72.88 from writing about nine articles, and those articles were each 200 words long, then you would have written a total of 1800 words.
• 1800 words can be typed and 50 minutes at 35 words per minute
• 1800 words can be typed in 12 minutes at 150 words per minute
Dragon NaturallySpeaking can essentially save you 38 minutes when you write nine articles.
Now with those additional thirty-eight minutes, you can spend more time:
• promoting your blog,
• networking with people,
• researching other projects,
• taking on other work from other networks
• build up a new blog to command $8.3 per article!
• Go write some articles for PayU2Blog
• Go write some articles for TextBroker
• Go write some articles to bring in more traffic and earn more money through Adsense!
You can pocket your $72.88 from twelve minutes worth of work. You can then spend the rest of that hour, working to ensure that the blog you publish those on performs very well. But the point is this, Dragon NaturallySpeaking can save you so much time, that it will pay for itself very quickly.
Your average part-time blogger will easily pay for Dragon NaturallySpeaking with the additional profits that they would earn from using Dragon NaturallySpeaking in less than 1 hour worth of blogging through PayPerPost alone. :-)
Plus just think of all of the time, that you would now have to make yourself and your site even more successful!

Hubby is On Comcast Cable
A month ago hubby did his Art of Kissing show at the University of Delaware. The Comcast cable team filmed his entire show. They wanted to use it in the "On Demand" service where you can select different movies that you want to watch. Some are free but some you have to pay for it. Well, hubby is on demand right now till the end of this month. We enjoy watching together every night before going to sleep. I am proud of his accomplishment. It's not that big but it's better than nothing. In order to see it, simply go to Comcast's "On Demand" and scroll down to "more choices." You can then scroll down to "The Cutting Edge" and then choose"The Art of Kissing."
Ovation Credit Report Repair
Ovation credit repair service can help anyone fix bad credit reports. In order to repair bad credit reports or change a report, contact must be made with the credit reporting agency or agencies that are publishing the incorrect information. All too often these reports can contain incorrect or inaccurate information. You could do the legwork yourself and contact the agencies, but in order to fix credit reports it certainly helps to have an experienced helper guiding you along the way. Ovation has a great deal of experience. They have helped tens of thousands of people correct their reports and they can help you as well. The easiest way to look at this is as an investment in your future. By fixing a credit report you are in effect correcting a report card. You might not have been able to do that while you were a student, but in the financial world the law requires credit card companies to correct and fix any errors that exist in an individual's record. This works in your favor, but it is not always an easy process to make the change. This is where Ovation can help. They understand not only the way but also the procedures that are most effective in repairing credit history and credit reports. This process can fix virtually any error in a report. Then when you go to apply for a loan your credit report will look good and you're much more likely to obtain the loan you wish.
Customized Silicone Bracelets
You thought rubber bracelets were a fad? You could be right, but it looks like they are a very popular fad indeed. In fact, it may very well be the most trendy and popular fashion statement you can make in 2009. And now the silicone bracelet can contain a message that you yourself write. These are custom bracelets! Yes, these bracelets are like the popular yellow livestrong bracelets, but they go one step further because they allow you to create the message that appears on the bracelet! You can have your customized silicone wristbands in no time flat. Then you'll be walking around like a fashion plate, and the message you desire will be flashing on your wrist. You'll be the envy of the girls in your town when they see you with your very own message on your wrist! "Where did you get that?" they'll ask. You can smile and tell them that you designed it yourself! They'll turn green with envy. "How?" they'll ask. "Simple," you'll tell them. Are You Good With Money?
You Are Great With Money |
![]() You know the value of a dollar - and you save and spend wisely. By living below your means, you've set yourself up for a rich future. And while it may hurt to sacrifice now, you'll probably have plenty of money later on. You're on your way to riches - just keep it up. |
I'm so happy with my result here. Well, I'm trying to save money when I have some extra because I don't want to suffer a financial problem in the future. My dream is to build my own house for my family and give a good education for my children. I don't want them to experience the kind of difficulties that I encountered in my childhood. I was raised in relatively a poor yet aristocratic family descended from nobility in the Philippines. And I got used to all the difficulties that happened in my life. I have a good fighting spirit to achieve my goal with the guidance of our almighty God. I'm not wishing to be a millionaire; I'm thankful for what I have right now. My priority is my family always in good health, then I will not be worried. One of my heroes is Yukio Mishima.

My Worries are Gone
Just recently I worried about my baby Kate's skin color. She was a little bit yellow. Then some of my friends told me that maybe she has jaundice. So, I got nervous. Well, she had jaundice after she was born. Anyway, we went to the pediatrician yesterday to make it sure that she was okay. The doctor told us that it's not jaundice but carotenemia. Carotenemia is a harmless condition. She said that the cause of this is eating those foods that include carrots, squash, sweet potato, corn, yams, pumpkin, egg yolks, spinach, and beans. Also other vegetables and fruits with a deep green or yellow color may contain high levels of carotene. There's nothing to worry about because it will likely go away over time, as baby gets older and eats more of a variety of foods. Thank God, that it's not a major thing. Now I can relax.

Have Fun at Morey's Piers
We live in New Jersey but that never stops us from vacationing there too. In fact, New Jersey has more vacation spots than most other states, primarily because of its winding and beautiful coastal towns and its rolling farmlands and pretty apple orchards and vineyards. The great Wildwood attractions and roller coasters are without doubt some of the most popular vacation sites in the state. Our vacations often consist of a jaunt down to Morey’s Piers. We enjoy the wonderful and unique holiday sale which Morey’s Piers is famous for, a sale like no other. Yes, Morey’s Piers is truly a wonderful location for a New Jersey vacation. More than that, their easy to use Web site is the perfect spot to find the best hotels and motels in Wildwood, New Jersey. One of the most popular vacation spots, Morey's Piers features a state of the art amusement park with thrilling and fun rides. If you're a fan of exciting vacations, this is the spot for you. Many other boardwalk attractions are also available, and there is always a huge annual holiday sale. Please remember that the sale starts December 1 and runs through January 9. This means you can save close to 40% on a season pass to both of the fabulous waterparks. Jersey Shore beach Vacation time is here once again. December and January are the best months to visit, although the area is fun all year round.Could You Survive Another Great Depression?
You Are 58% Likely to Survive Another Great Depression |
![]() Even though you may not be expecting the worst, you're the type of person who prepares for the worst. You live a relatively modest life. You don't overspend, and you aren't very materialistic. You are also quite self sufficient and independent. You have many useful skills. You can take care of yourself and those you love... which is crucial to surviving another Great Depression. |
This is my test result. Hmmm . . . I hope that I can really survive any depression that maybe will come in the future. I'm very emotional sometimes, especially when it comes to my child and other family matters. But I try to face the reality and the world. And I always avoid all my worries that make me more stressful. Instead, I think of some wonderful things that happen to me from the past that I would like to bring to a good resolution in the future. I definitely try to escape from depression and do other things that make me busy and happy. I also take great delight in the fact that I am surrounded by positive thinkers: my husband and daughter are always positive and almost always in a cheerful mood.

Lovely Holiday Frames for the Entire Family
Stainless steel frames are my favorites. Holiday frames are also my favorites. Zennioptical.com has a terrific selection of holiday frames. This means one thing: big fun in eyeglasses, and that suites me just fine. I love getting a new look, in time for the holidays. I can't stand the same old thing over and over again, and I don't know how anybody could go on for years and years with the same frames. For my money, new frames make me look and feel like a million dollars. How about you? This company has serious frames and funny frames and seductive frames, too! Did you know that eyeglasses can actually make you look sexy? Take a look at the frames they have on display at their Web site and you'll see a vast number of holiday frames that will make you look like a movie star. But suppose you simply want to look nondescript and like everyone else. They can help you achieve that goal, too. Or let's say you want to look like a secret service agent or a spy, or even like a movie star or celebrity. They have frames for every look and every style you can imagine. Try a new look this holiday season and enjoy yourself to the max!Tuesday, December 2, 2008
Mixed Vegetables
This family blog knows that a good meal is the hub of much family quality time. Well, hubby and I were enjoying eating some mixed vegetable soup that I made this afternoon. It took me an hour to prepare all the ingredients but it's worth it. Not only did we get full but we also got topnotch nutrition from the soup. I'm crazy about soup, especially vegetable soup. Next time, I will use coconut milk in my soup. And I know it will taste delicious, like my mother's soup. I am now getting excited to shop again in the Fil-Am store where I can find all the food that I want. We will be going there this coming Friday since the pediatrician of my baby, Big Honey, is right there. We already have an appointment, so I will take advantage of the trip to stop by at the store. How I wish to win their raffle draw because it's two plane ticket going back to the Philippines! Then I could brag about my soup to everyone.
Family Blog Advice on Home Insurance
There is nothing a family blog can do to prevent loss of family valuables . . . except give you advice. What you do with that advice is up to you. But we know that family heirlooms and priceless treasures cannot be replaced, which is why we recommend home insurance. True, insurance may not bring back those pictures of grandma or that set of silverware or her wonderful pearl necklace . . . but when you receive $500,000 or a similar substantial amount, you'll certainly be able to deal with the loss in a more relaxed frame of mind. You might even take a trip to Paris . . .
Family Blog Help With Credit
The purpose of this family blog is to help you find ways to resolve your family problems. One family problem involves credit repair. Some people need to repair their credit. This blog post cannot tell you all the details you need to know to fix bad credit. However, we can point you in the right direction. Ovation is a company that can help you, just as it has helped many others to quickly and reliably fix credit problems. The only catch is you have to contact them first. They cannot help you unless you give them a call. But once you make contact you will see how reliable and friendly they can be. In fact, they are the experts when it comes to credit errors. They know that most credit reports contain errors. These errors may be big or small, but in the long run it pays to get them fixed as soon as possible. There are many famous people who had credit problems, including some politicians and actors and celebrities that I'm sure you know. But that is just the tip of the iceberg. Most Americans have credit issues and could benefit from the services offered by this company. Calling for help can lead to the improvement in your score that you will find helpful when you attempt to buy a new car, a home, or even a ring in a jewelry store. Trust this company with your credit problems; they can help.
Returned Successful
I went again to the mall today to return my ring as I said in my previous post. It was a very quick trip. The saleslady was very kind to me and accepted the returned ring. She spoke to the manager first before accepting the return. There was no problem with the manager. In fact, she agreed to it right away. She checked the ring and it was perfectly fine. Well, I asked the saleslady about why the other pinay saleslady was very strict with me about returning the item. She said it's because they get a commission from it when they sell the item. But they should not give a customer a hard time when returning something. Returning things is normal for any business or store, she said. So before I left she said that I can write a review about the saleslady that was mean to me on their website. Well, I know her very well since the year I came here. In, fact we became friends before and now we're strangers. It is funny that we ended this way. This entire post is a lesson, nothing more, in how to resolve family disputes. If you study this post you will see how important it is to remain calm when resolving disputes. I will write more about dispute resolution in the future, if people are interested. Please let me know in your comments.

How to Resolve a Family Dispute
This family blog reports on all things related to the family. Today I will explain how to resolve a family conflict.
I'm so upset at the Filipina saleslady today because she didn't accept my return item. She said that she couldn't accept it because I ripped off the ticket from the ring. Of course, I did rip off the ticket but I had the receipt and the ticket with me. Plus, she said that she saw me wearing the ring the day after I bought it. Yes, it's true. I went there again to return it at that time. But she didn't accept it. Imagine, I bought it yesterday then I returned it the next day. How come she doesn't want to take it? (At this point you should notice that my emotions are boiling, which always interferes with the resolution of any family conflict!) She is very strict, even though I just wore it once. Then, I came back again today hoping I would be able to return it. But I was very disappointed. She left me, so the other saleslady talked to me and said that I don't have to worry because the manager will be there tomorrow. She is sure that she will take the item. And that pinay saleslady is off tomorrow. She will receive karma soon. I never had a problem before returning any item and that includes jewelry, as long as you have the receipt it's fine. How come she is very strict? She didn't own the store. It's not underwear either. The reason that I'm going to return the ring is because it's a big size. My husband doesn't like the fact that it has to go on my middle finger. I want to exchange it but they have only a standard size 7. And I don't want to resize it because I read a bad review about resizing this kind of ring. I went to their website to read all the reviews of this ring. That's why I want to return it.
So, we see that to resolve a family dispute, you need to cut through the emotional baggage and try to calm both parties down. This is something that often takes time. You might have to talk with someone for half an hour or more to achieve this kind of calming effect. So far, on this jewelry issue, I am not calm! When you have a family spat, try to talk to the other person in a calm way for a while.
