Heat Shields
The spacecraft was heating up as it reentered the earth's atmosphere. Then it landed. The tile on its surface was heated to 7000 degrees Fahrenheit. This is because of friction with the earth's atmosphere. This is not a plasma issue, but one of simple thermal conductivity. Most heat shields cannot tolerate such abrasion. But some can. Do you know the one you need? If not, go outside your family and ask an expert.
