Vitamin D and Your Family
As a family blog we recently talked about visiting Peru. This country has the lowest incidence of acne in the world. This is because families there take no acne vitamins. They simply get sufficient sunshine. Yes, the sun is your greatest ally in the fight against skin disease. Contrary to popular belief, moderate sun exposure (say, half an hour of sunlight at midday in the New York City area) will boost vitamin D levels, which can fight cancer and other disease. Your family's health is protected by sunlight. So if you can't get to Peru for a vacation, you might want to try taking 5,000 IU of vitamin D daily.
