Shared Responsibilities

Thanks for the post, Vernon Lowe
With three kids, two dogs, a cat and a fish, mornings in our house are crazy. My wife and I have a devised a system by which we divide and conquer. Each of us has our responsibilities and now that the kids are getting older we’ve begun delegating those responsibilities. In addition to getting themselves ready, the kids each have chores to complete before they leave the house for the bus stop. Our oldest, Kate is responsible for feeding the dogs. Our middle child, Jake, feeds the cat. The youngest, Simon, feeds the fish. All three are expected to make up their beds and pick up after themselves—no dirty towels or pajamas in the floor. My wife makes lunches and I make breakfast. It’s nice now that the kids are a little older and can help out, even just with getting themselves ready. Because she parks in the garage, my wife makes sure the garage door is closed. I’m the last one to leave so I always set ourMemphis adt SECURITY and lock the doors. It really is a relief being able to share responsibility!
